Please make sequel!
Yes, could you please make a sequel to gone home, even if it’s not a game. It doesn’t have to be easy for the family and Lonnie as long as there is a happy ending. Thanks for bringing this beautiful game and showing that videogames can be more than just a game. I got it for free on PS4 plus but after playing I had to order the collector’s edition. Hopefully there will be more games like this gem.
I got your game Gone Home on the PS4 for free but I’m looking forward to buying any new games you make because it was just so beautiful. I played through it twice in the same day. I loved the atmosphere and even the commentary was nice. Although I went through my first playthrough thinking it was some horror game, which is why I didn’t download it at first. It was such an amazing experience that Im even thinking about getting a computer just for gaming to see what I’m really missing out on. I liked that your game wasn’t ridiculously hard for me and I always love a good story. It almost made me cry (good job) especially when I was listening to the directors commentary (which helped me notice things more on my second playthrough. Thank you for making Gone Home and thank you for existing.
Wow, thank you so much for playing, and for sharing your kind words 🙂 It’s very exciting to know that Gone Home might inspire you to check out more games on PC as well! These days it doesn’t cost a ton to get a computer that will run most games– hope you’ll find more stuff that excites you 🙂 Along with games like Life is Strange and Firewatch (which are also on PS4) you might enjoy The Stanley Parable, The Beginner’s Guide, 30 Flights of Loving, and Cibele which are all only on PC at this point. All the best!
I posted a comment like 2 years ago, seems like it didn’t appear on the site… I just wanted to say that Gone Home is a big part of my gaming experience and that I simply love everything from it. I played almost every night just to feel the atmosphere of this beautifully made game. I don’t even want to call it a game because I don’t know how to feel about it, it’s more than a game to me. I bought it 3 times I think, the third is the special edition with the extras in it, and I’m serious when I say that it’s been 2 years and I didn’t opened the dev diary yet, because I want to go to the place when I first played Gone Home, wait for midnight and launch again this special story (also while wearing a special shirt that my brother made me because I was talking about it all the time and he knows how much this universe means to me). I have like what, 80+ hours of gameplay on my steam account (which is also equipped with the Starry Night background, so is my phone) because, I don’t know. I wanted to go in this house every damn night. If I remember I tried to add you throught Steam mister Steve just to talk about the game but it seems like you blocked me (it’s normal I think since I’m a complete stranger.) I had so much question though !
Anyways, this game made me want to become a game designer because I simply love storytelling, it’s my thing. I’m studying in order to maybe make later a masterpiece like the one you guys produced, that’s what I want to do.
Thanks for creating this universe. Really, thank you.
Wow, thank you so much– and sorry for not approving your comment earlier/accepting your friend request on Steam (I just tend to “Ignore” friend requests from anyone I don’t know personally, no offense– I hope I didn’t “block” you though!) Thank you so much for your dedication to our game… it’s really incredible to hear about. And all the best with your journey to becoming a game designer! It’s a long road– keep it up!
I know it’s hard but I’m ready to do anything in order to achieve my dream ! Thanks a lot for your answer, have a good day !
Hats off to you Fullbright. You pulled me in, let me experience deep, moving emotions with simple exploration, and left me holding back my tears like a big softie. Thanks for this game. It’s downright glorious.
(sorry for my bad English)
I just wanted to thank you guys for making this game, and beg for one more especial edition release, i couldn’t get the first one 😦
Just finished Gone Home, is my first video game, ever! Such a sweet story, and great soundtrack and music. I am still smiling about the ending! Thanks so much for a wonderful game, I hope you make other ones like this, with great story and lots of exploring. -Carol 🙂
I absolutely love every single thing about Gone Home, and I really really hope to see more of the Greenbriar family at some point. Easily in my top 10 games and top 3 sadboy experiences. I love you, Fullbright.
I just finished Gone Home, and now that it’s over i feel as if I have just finished a really good book. That feeling is rare from a video game, so I wanted to thank you. Thank you for such a truly great and touching game/story/experience.
Hey Hi I got this game during the free giveaway in 2016.
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of playing this game and I have come back to it a couple of times to play again. It’s a a nice diversion from other games, and a nice story to go with it. It’s full of atmosphere too with the house and lights and rain outside.
I did have one question though and that is will we who got this in 2016 get updates or do we have to buy the new version?
I believe that you got the game via itch.io, so you should be able to get updates via that site. You may need to create an itch.io account– try searching your email for info from them when you originally downloaded the game.
